Nikkia Sharpe, Business Development Manager
My name is Nikkia Sharpe, and my professional journey began in the healthcare industry. I started working in the cafeteria at NYU Langone Hospital, where I simultaneously completed my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Upon graduation, I was promoted to Finance Manager. I later joined Columbia University as the Hospitality Manager, overseeing all undergraduate housing operations.
My introduction to the senior living industry came through a family member, and I quickly realized how well my background in healthcare administration and property management aligned with the needs of the field. This led me to pursue a role as a Business Director in senior living. Committed to deepening my expertise, I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Business Administration and obtained my Assisted Living Administrator’s license. I was then promoted to Executive Director, a position I’ve proudly held for seven years.
During my career in senior housing, I developed a true passion for working with older adults and their families. It brings me great joy to help seniors live fulfilling lives by providing the right level of care and support. I’m excited to be able to translate my experience into working to provide care for seniors in our area.
On a personal note, I’m a proud mother to three wonderful adult daughters and the devoted owner of a spirited three-year-old dog named Tucker. I love to travel and in my downtime I enjoy reading, watching movies, and keeping things tidy and organized around the house.
